As a way of anticipating Memorial Day, we are showing this award winning film.  It chronicles the efforts of retired veterans and others to greet each troop plane arriving from and departing for the two wars in which the United States is currently involved. Senior citizens all, the "troop greeters" tell of their struggles with aging, loneliness, war, and mortality as they are interviewed about this amazing act of gratitude and patriotism.  The Los Angeles Times says that this work is "filled with a rare honesty and intimacy that makes for a rewarding film experience."
